The Holding Company for Food Industries of the Ministry of Investment has again reduced the prices of food commodities in its coops nationwide for the second time in two weeks. They included fine flour, macaroni, lentils, rice, beans, frozen meat, eggs, imported poultry and oil. The company decided to reduce the price of fine flour by 72% from LE 2350 a ton to LE 2050 a ton for the production of North Cairo Flour Mills Company. It also cut the prices of the flour produced by the General Co. for Greater Cairo Bakeries from LE 2400 to LE 2200 a ton. The price of lentils decreased from LE 10200 a ton for the retailer to LE 8000 a ton and from LE 1050 a kg to LE 8.500 for the consumer. The price of the canned and bulk macaroni produced by Central and West Delta Mills Co. declined from LE 1.5 to LE 1.25 per package weighing 400 gm.
The company has also decided to reduce the price of canned rice "Crystal" from LE 2400 a ton to LE 2200 for the retailer and from LE 2.5 to LE 2.25 per kg for the consumer.
