Some of the Muslim Brotherhood's administrative offices have submitted memorandums to the Guidance Bureau demanding a change of some of the by-laws regulating their work, said Saad el-Husseiny member of the Muslim Brotherhood Guidance Bureau. Another group of members of the Guidance Bureau and the Shura Council had suggested, around a year ago, that a dialogue be opened to cut out the articles in the by-laws that don't fit anymore the current organization structure and reality, said el-Husseini to Al-Masry Al-Youm. There are also calls for adding new articles that can revitalize the group, he added. Asked if the Guidance Bureau had decided how to respond to the memos, el-Husseiny said," The issue is bigger and deeper than many think because changing the by-laws requires a careful study of the current state of affairs of the Muslim Brotherhood, society and organization." Change doesn't take place overnight and the Muslim Brotherhood always demands it of others, and so it should thus respond to those demands, he added. The members of the Muslim Brotherhood are calling for a change of 15 articles. The most important of those articles involve the adoption of democratic development, representation of women and the youth in the Guidance Bureau; demands whcih which were rejected by the Brotherhood yesterday in statements made to Al-Masry Al-Youm.
