Death toll of Egyptian pilgrims rises to 40

Cairo - Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population reported on Saturday that the death toll of Egyptian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia rose to 40 deaths. The new deaths occurred during the Arafa day and the first day of Eid al-Adha.
The head of the Egyptian Medical Mission to pilgrimage, Ahmed Al-Ansari, said that the majority of deaths resulted of cardiac arrest and fatigue. He also added that the Medical Mission's emergency room in Mecca is coordinating with relevant authorities to issue death certificates for the pilgrims.
