Minsk - Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei discussed efforts exerted by the two sides to improve bilateral relations in different fields, Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid. Both sides reviewed developments in political, economic cooperation; including the 45 projects and programs that were signed in the framework of the joint committee in the sectors of industry, trade, information technology, agriculture, irrigation and the environment, as well as the tourism sector. For his part, Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said that Egypt and Belarus are interested in developing close cooperation in all the areas, BelTA has learned. "Both the countries are interested in developing close cooperation in every area," said Vladimir Makei. In his words, Belarus attaches great attention to cooperation with Egypt and is ready to discuss the expansion of cooperation in all promising areas. On 28 August the Egyptian minister also met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Co-Chairman of the Belarusian-Egyptian commission of economic cooperation, Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Vladimir Koltovich. The parties talked over the development of concrete projects in various sectors.
