Alexandria – In a special statement to Al-Bawaba News Portal, an informed security source confirmed that the driver of the train, which caused the accident in the Alexandria train crash, died immediately after the crash, while the other driver of the stationary train is now remanded in custody. The security source added that the scene of the crash is being investigated by a team of the Public Prosecutor's Office to find out the causes and circumstances of the tragic accident. In related news, the Administrative Prosecution Office,headed by Dr. Khaled Abu El Wafa, Chief of Prosecution Office, has begun interrogating the driver of the stationary train that had arrived from Port Said, a Mediterranean city on the northern tip of the Suez Canal, when it crashed into the back of another train, which was waiting at a small station in the district of Khorshid, just east of Alexandria.
