Tripoli - Egypt's army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Hegazy met on Thursday with Thomas Waldhauser, the commander of the US Africa Command and U.S. Ambassador to Libya Peter Bodde. During the meeting, the officials exchanged views on the latest political developments in the Libyan situation and the outcome of the international and regional endeavors undertaken to settle the Libyan crisis and the meetings recently held in Egypt. Hegazy underlined the importance of concerted and coordinated efforts and of making the best use of the previous accomplishments to move forward with completing the political process and the construction of state institutions in order to meet the Libyan people's aspiration. For their part, the U.S. officials hailed Egypt's efforts to get out of the current political stalemate, confirming the importance of the incessant coordinated efforts to reach an all-embracing political environment for all active fractions in Libya to help figure out a consensual political solution.
