Abidjan - Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met, on Monday, with the Saudi Foreign Ministry's Undersecretary for Political and Economic Affairs Adel bin Siraj Mirdad on the sidelines of the 4th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's Council of Foreign Ministers, currently held in Abidjan. The meeting tackled the relations between the two countries as well as regional and international issues of common concern, especially the current crisis with Qatar, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said. Shoukry asserted that Egypt would continue its fight against terrorism and exerting utmost efforts to counter extremism. He called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility for countering terrorism that threatens the regional and international peace and security.
