Over 223 vessels have transited the Suez Canal during the past five days with a total load of 13.3 million tons, Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Chairman Mohab Mamish said on Wednesday. He added, in a statement published by Al Bawaba News, thatMadison Maersk is among the ships crossed the canal carrying 200,000 tons. He clarified that an average of 43.8 ships transited the canal per day during June, with an average load of 2.66m tons per day. The average load per ship was about 60,608 tons during that period.
