Security forces kill 6 militants in N.Sinai

Security forces killed six militants and wounded two others during a security operation in North Sinai's Sheikh Zuweid city, Youm7 News reported Friday.
The forces also succeeded to defuse an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on one of Al-Arish city roads, as well as destroying 11 terrorist hideouts and arresting 21 suspects.
Since September 2013, the Egyptian army and police have been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
