Security sources revealed that Egypt's Armed Forces killed Tuesday 12 militants and wounded four others in North Sinai's Arish city, Youm7 News reported. The sources added that the army also succeeded to destroy 12 terrorist hideouts in North Sinai's Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid cities, as well as arresting 26 suspects. Earlier today, six conscripts were killed and five others were wounded in a blast caused by an improvised explosive device that targeted an armored vehicle in Arish. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army and police have been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
