The expansion of Panama Canal will deepen the navigational course, which will lead to increase the capacity of the canal, Panamanian Ambassador, Tomas A. Gurdia said Saturday. During the celebrations of the canal expansion at the embassy in Cairo, A. Gurdia said with the expansion the canal will welcome 13 thousand containers instead of 5000, which means the double of containers that come from west coast of U.S. heading to Asia. "Natural Gas will also be able to pass from the canal," A. Gurdia said in his speech, adding that the canal uses the same strategy of Suez Canal to diverse the economic activities.
