Panama's embassy in Cairo launched Saturday a press conference on expansion of its waterway canal, in presence of Suez Canal Authority head, Mohab Mamish, Al Bawaba News reported. Panama's ambassador in Cairo, Tomas Guardia pointed to the canal's history of establishment and then, stressed on the importance of expanding the canal in order to keep pace with global traffic in terms of quantity and quality of ships and depth, during his opening speech. Guardia explained that there are differences between Panama Canal and Suez Canal, as Panama Canal has three locks that work throughout the year, which is different to those of the Suez Canal.
