Cairo Criminal Court sentenced Saturday one defendant to 15 years in prison, and acquitted two others in the case publically known as "al-Zawahri Cell," al-Bawaba News reported. Defendants face charges of forming a terrorist cell in the case publicly known as "Al-Zawahri cell." The investigations revealed that the defendants pose a serious threat against the national security, since they established a terrorist organization seeking to overthrow the Egyptian regime. The defendants are also accused of attacking military and police personnel, churches, and committing terrorist acts to spread chaos in the country.
