The Islamic State (ISIS or Daesh) militant group claimed responsibility for the deadly terror attack in the Iraqi Babil province, Alsumaria TV channel reported Sunday. At least 35 people were killed and 34 injured on Sunday in a terror attack conducted in the Iraqi city of Hillah located some 60 miles south of the country's capital of Baghdad. Since 2014, vast territories in Iraq and neighboring Syria have been occupied by Daesh, which has proclaimed a caliphate on the lands under its control. The terrorist group is notorious for numerous terror attacks and many human rights atrocities committed in both countries.
