Woman: The unjust and the slandered
Published in Albawaba on 28 - 01 - 2016

Women make great men, a woman is like a school, a woman equates a hundred men .. Those who read such statements will probably feel shocked of the cultural contrast we have at the moment.

Reality shows racism, segregation and banning from reaching respectable positions, inside and outside the governmental institutions. A proof to that was the great hassle around having a woman as a judge, as if she is not as qualified and unable to form an opinion, much less a sound judgment.

Reality also shows a chain of violations towards women's rights and away from the global ranking of Egypt's women rights, Egypt takes women back to the old times where women were 3rd class citizens.

What comes to be another proof is the number of crimes aimed at women, whether it's physical or verbal abuse.
At work, her right to promotions is ignored, and is denied equal access to leadership positions.
And inside the house, there is the degrading violations, which are incompatible with the least rights of human beings, they are basically maids.

She could be quite unlucky as to answer a call coming from a colleague or a relative, or even seen in a car with one. If she ends up marrying a terrible man and decided to resort to divorce, she ends up also being a victim to rumors and vile gossip.

In all cases, she is the only culprit concerning all culprits whenever there is sexual harassment or assault depending on her clothing.

All the more, sexual offenders exploit such permission., and attribute it faulty holy scriptures. 1st thing to be done is to treat women as a valuable member of the society which drove President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to appoint women at the parliament.
