New Security Director for North Sinai

Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghafar ordered Saturday to replace Head of North Sinai Security Directorate Ali Abu Zeid with Genral Sayed al-Habal, Youm7 news reported.
Gen. Abu Zeid was promoted to be Assistant Interior Minister for the Sinai region.
The north-east peninsula witnesses militant insurgency since the ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood government in July 2013. Most of attacks target security forces of police and army.
