Chinese Minister of Culture Luo Shugang on Wednesday called upon Chinese tourists to visit Egypt's Luxor to enjoy its "warm weather and historic monuments". In a statement issued in the Valley of the Kings touristic area, Mr. Shugang stressed that "Luxor gives the world a message of peace as it enjoys safety and stability". Mr. Shugang indicated it was his second time to visit the historic city, adding that "the pharaonic civilization represents the human civilization". Mr. Shugang arrived in Luxor Tuesday to celebrate the Egyptian Chinese Cultural year in attendance of Egyptian culture minister Helmy Namnam and the Luxor governor, Mohamed Badr.
