International Parliamentary Union (IPU) supports the Egyptian people represented in the elected parliament, said the union's speaker, Saber Chowdhury on Wednesday. He added that IPU has sent two invitations to Egypt's parliament Speaker to attend a meeting with members of the international body in the U.S in February and to attend the formal meeting of the union in March. He asserted that the new parliament should exert its efforts to bear the responsibility to restore Egypt's role as the cornerstone of the Arab nation.
