Minister of foreign affairs, Sameh Shoukry expressed Tuesday his appreciation for President of Inter-Parliamentary Union, Saber Hossain Chowdhury and President of Arab Parliament, Ahmed Al Garwan for their visit to Egypt, Al Bawaba News reported. This came during Shoukry's meeting with the two visitors who are scheduled to meet the parliament speaker and some prominent members as well as a number of Egyptian officials. Spokesman for ministry announced that Shoukry had a long meeting with Chowdhury and Al Garwan, which tackled topics and issues of interest for the union in the current period. The meeting also dealt with ways to counter terrorism within the legal framework, boosting cooperation to achieve developmental goals and climate change issues, as well as the role of the union in supporting various governments in these fields, according to the spokesman.
