Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry said Friday during a press conference in Sudan's Khartoum that Egypt would not compromise on its the historic interests and rights in the waters of the Nile River, Al Bawaba News reported. Shoukry stressed on the need to fulfill the commitments made between Egypt and Ethiopia in Malabo and Khartoum Conventions, pointing out that Egypt has made great efforts in establishing new rules for its relations with Ethiopia as the two countries expressed their desire to strengthen the bilateral ties between them. Egypt's Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Irrigation are scheduled to attend the six-party meeting in Khartoum with Sudan's and Ethiopia's Foreign and Irrigation Ministers to reach an agreement between the three countries on Ethiopian Renaissance dam's issue, as well as reviewing disputes between Dutch Deltares and French BRL consultancy offices.
