Locals told Ma'an that undercover Israeli forces kidnapped 15-year-old Saif Muhammad Abu Latifa nearby the Qalandiya military checkpoint. Separately, locals told Ma'an that two Palestinian families were given notices by Israeli forces demanding that they refrain from publicly discussing relatives who were deported to the Gaza Strip. Soud Saleh abu Sarhan from al-Ubeidiya east Bethlehem and Atta Mahmoud Abu Fannoun from Battir were both deported to Gaza after being released from Israeli prison. Locals told Ma'an that the families were specifically asked not to discuss their deported relatives on television. An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed eight total detentions in the occupied West Bank early Thursday. The eight were detained from Qalqiliya, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Hebron, all for "suspected involvement in terrorist activity," the spokesperson said. Over 2,000 Palestinians were detained in October and November, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Society.
