Israeli forces overnight Sunday detained 32 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, Palestinian sources and the Israeli army said. In the village of Nabi Saleh northwest of Ramallah, Israeli forces detained six Palestinians after ransacking and searching their homes. They were identified as Anan Naji al-Tamimi, 20, Osayd Ahmad al-Tamimi, 20, Omar Saleh al-Tamimi, 27, Waed Basem al-Tamimi, 19, Odai Abdul-Razzak al-Tamimi, 22, and Mustafa Muhammad al-Tamimi, 21. The Tamimi family has been at the forefront of protests in Nabi Saleh. Two months ago, video footage of an Israeli soldier pinning down 11-year-old Muhammad Tamimi in the village went viral. Another three Palestinians were detained in Hebron, identified by local sources as Ahmad Muhammad al-Yamani, Momen Abu Shamsiya al-Haddad, and Tariq Saed Ibrahim al-Qaraqi. A popular committee spokesperson in Beit Ummar, Muhammad Awad, said that Israeli forces also detained Raesa Muhammad Abu Ayyash, 51, and her son, Amr Kamal Abu Ayyash, 21, at the Allenby Bridge crossing as they were on their way home from Jordan. In southwest Bethlehem, Israeli forces detained five Palestinian teenagers from the village of Tuqu after raiding and searching their homes with police dogs. The teenagers were identified as Moussa Jawdat al-Omour, 14, Mumen Rateb al-Omour, 14, Muayyad Abdullah al-Omour, 13, Khalil Ali Abu Mfreh, 15, and Muhammad Ribhi al-Omour, 19. Israeli forces also briefly held Habes Dakhlallah al-Omour, 48, and interrogated him at the Etzion detention center, local sources said. An Israeli army spokeswoman said that six Palestinians were detained north of Ramallah, six in Hebron, four southwest of Bethlehem, two in Nablus, and two in Qalqiliya. The two detained in Nablus were "Hamas operatives," she said, while the others were arrested for "suspected illegal activity." East Jerusalem detentions Meanwhile, Israeli forces detained 12 Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem, including the father of Thaer Abu Ghazaleh, who injured four Israelis in a stabbing attack in Tel Aviv earlier this month. Abu Ghazaleh's family told Ma'an that Israeli forces raided their home in the al-Sadiya neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem and took the father away for interrogation. It was the second time he had been detained since his son was shot dead after carrying out the attack. A lawyer for Palestinian prisoners' rights group Addameer, Muhammad Mahmoud, told Ma'an that Israeli forces also detained six Palestinians from Silwan and Sur Bahir. The detainees were identified as Muhammad Dwayyat, Nour Ameera, Mutaz Dabash, Muhammad Ghaith, Fadi Abbasi and Muhammad Syouri. The head of the PA Committee for Prisoners' Affairs' Jerusalem office, Amja Abu Asab, said that Israeli forces also detained Rami al-Fakhori after raiding his home near Hatta Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. The Wadi Hilweh information center said that Israeli forces late Sunday also detained four Palestinian children, aged 11 to 14, from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-Thawri and took them to the Oz Israeli police station. The children were identified as Muhammad Diyab Shwiki, 11, Mahmoud Abed Muhammad al-Talhami, 11, Zamzam Eiad Shweki, 12, and Khalil Eiad Shweki, 14. An Israeli police spokesperson could not be reached for comment. Separately, Israeli authorities placed four recent detainees under administrative detention, identified by Addameer as Fares Eweisat, Kathem Sbeih, Huthaifa Shreiteh, and Rawhi Kalghasi. An Israeli court also delayed the trial of Marah Bakir, accused of carrying out a recent stabbing attack, and extended the detention of 13-year-old Ahmad Mansara, who was severely injured when he was hit by a car after carrying out a stabbing attack with a friend in East Jerusalem. The Palestinian Authority Committee for Prisoners' Affairs said last week that Israeli forces had detained more than 650 Palestinians since the beginning of October, most of them younger than 20 years old and detained during clashes in Jerusalem. The committee said in a statement that most of the Palestinians were detained during clashes with Israeli soldiers, or subsequently in overnight raids on the pretext of resisting Israeli soldiers. According to the statement, many Palestinians had reported being held for hours at interrogation centers, undergoing humiliation and maltreatment. Some prisoners said that they were violently beaten during their detention.
