UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaher, today chaired the consultative meeting of the Arab League's Council at the representatives-level to discuss and co-ordinate arrangements for the EU–Arab League Dialogue. The meeting, which took place at the Arab League's Secretariat-General in Cairo, also discussed preparations for the 4th meeting of Arab representatives and their counterparts at the European Union's Political and Security Committee (PSC) on 25th November. In his welcome address before the meeting, the UAE representative extended heartfelt condolences to the leaderships, governments and peoples of Lebanon and France for the tragic loss of lives and scores of injuries in the series of criminal terrorist attacks in which took place in Beirut and Paris. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in these terrorist acts. ''The attacks in France prove once again that the hand of terrorism could reach any place in the world. No country will be immune or far away from terrorism which hits indiscriminately, targets security and kills innocent people who offer their lives for confronting terrorism which is spreading day after day as we found in Syria, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Algeria and Tunisia. It is practiced daily in Palestine,'' he added. ''The UAE affirms its unequivocal solidarity with Lebanon and France as well as with other countries in the fight against terrorism, violence and extremism in all its forms and manifestations. These murderous acts will not deter us from co-operating and standing united to confront these crimes and ultimately eradicate them so the world can enjoy security, stability and peace,'' he emphasised. He highlighted the need for redoubling international collective efforts and for countries to strengthen joint co-ordination to uproot the terrorism menace, which is prohibited by divine religions and criminalised by human legislations and conventions since it threatens international security and peace.
