HDB to offer savings certificates in US Dollar

Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) permitted Housing and Development Bank (HDB) to offer savings certificates in US dollar, Al-Bawaba News reported Wednesday.
HDB's assistant managing director for marketing, Bassiouni Ashraf affirmed that his bank will offer the new savings certificates as soon as the bank gets all required permits.
The total volume of the bank's small and medium-sized projects portfolio is EGP 168m, Ashraf revealed, adding that HDB intends to inject EGP 32m in the sector by the end of the current fiscal year 2015/2016, to reach EGP 200m.
