President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met Tuesday with Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail and a number of ministers to discuss the preparations for upcoming parliamentary elections, Al Bawaba News reported. Al Sisi met with the ministers of planning, supply and investment in order to review the steps taken by the government to secure the course of the parliamentary elections due to be held in two stages. The president stressed that the government is committed to remain neutral during the elections and eager to confront any attempt to harm the electoral process with the utmost firmness and decisiveness, within the framework of the law. Furthermore, he pointed out to the need to provide a safe environment for citizens to cast their votes and exercise their constitutional right freely and in a fair matter. He urged the citizens to be aware and understand the importance of the need for all segments of society to actively participate in casting their votes during the two stages of the parliamentary elections.
