Egypt's ambassador to Germany, Bader Abdul Ati held a meeting at Egyptian Embassy in Berlin with a number of Egyptian community's prominent figures to discuss parliamentary elections, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. Abdul Ati also discussed the latest political and economic developments in Egypt, as well as the High Elections Committee's (HEC) procedures and rules to regulate the upcoming parliamentary elections, which will begin abroad on the 17th of October. He reviewed the preparations carried out by the embassy and the ongoing contacts with the German authorities to secure the elections. Also, he asked the Egyptian community to participate massively and exercise its constitutional right by voting in the elections. Furthermore, he spoke about the great development witnessed by the Egyptian-German relations since the visit of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to Berlin in June. He pointed out that the relations have seen a strong boost on the political, economic, tourism, trade and security levels.
