Salah al-Bassoussy, 50, who was reported dead on Friday, had been in detention at the Kafr el-Dawar police station in the northwestern province of Beheira. The Brotherhood member, who suffered from a chronic liver disease, was said to have been in critical condition for three days prior to his death.
