Egyptian Salafist Call's leaders will be prohibited by the Ministry of Endowments from delivering Eid al-Adha sermons to avoid using mosques for political propaganda as parliamentary elections approach, Al-Bawaba news reported Tuesday. Endowments Directorate in Alexandria has rejected the request of Salafist call to deliver al-Adha sermons, in a bid to prevent the Salafist Call-affiliate al-Nour Party from using mosques in electoral campaigning. "Deputy Chief of the Salafist Call is prevented from preaching during Eid al-Adha, and he will be punished in case he violated the order," the directorate stated on Monday. Eid al-Adha will be on Thursday, the holy occasion that all the Muslims around the world are waiting to practice Islamic pilgrimage rituals in Saudi Arabia's Mecca.
