Dr. Ahmed Emad Al Din Rady was sworn-in as Egypt's Minister of Health on Saturday to succeed former minister Adel Adawy. Rady was born in 1955 and graduated from Faculty of Medicine in 1985. He presented over 20 scientific messages and 14 researches. He is considered one of the most prominent orthopedic doctors in Egypt. The Egyptian new minister held a number of responsibilities during his career, including Medicine Faculty's secretary for environmental development, dean of Ain Shams University's Medicine Faculty to be the first dean taking the position by elections. During his leadership of the Medicine Faculty, He managed to improve the scientific and practical sides of the students. He signed a number of protocols with foreign universities to improve the performance of his faculty. He established the first medical unit to diagnose the gastroenterology in Ain Shams University upon a protocol with China's embassy in Cairo. Ain Shams University's Faculty of Medicine has been chosen to be among the top 300 faculties around the world during his era.
