General prosecution decided Tuesday to refer the Supreme Guide of Muslim Brotherhood (MB), Mohamed Badie and other MB leaders to the criminal court, over charges of staging armed sit-in at Rabaa square in Cairo, al-Bawaba News reported. Prosecution accused the defendants of organizing an armed sit-in, blocking the public road, murder with premeditation, terrorizing citizens, possessing weapons, and damaging public and private properties. Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated groups staged two large sit-ins at Rabaa and Nahda squares in the period between June 21 and August 14, 2013 before and following the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi.
