The Egyptian army thwarted Monday four terrorist attempted attacks on army personnel in North Sinai's Sheikh Zuweid city, Al Bawaba News reported. The army received information that militants planted four improvised explosive devices on one of the city's roads and then the army succeeded to defuse them. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
