Rafale warplanes, FREMM frigate participate in new Suez Canal ceremony

French Rafale warplanes and FREMM frigate participated Thursday in the new Suez Canal inauguration ceremony.
On February, Egypt signed with France a $5.7 billion deal to receive a naval frigate, 24 Rafale fighter jets and missiles.
FREMM is a multipurpose anti-aircraft warfare, anti-ballistic missile and surface attack frigate, which includes a helicopter landing pad (helipad) and a surface-to-air missiles.
