Egypt's Jama'a Islamiya said on Saturday an affiliate was severely injured during fights against the Assad forces in Syria, Al Bawaba News reported. "Today, our brother Mohamed Abbas was severely wounded in battles against the Syrian regime," a Jama'a Islamiya senior figure, Abu Elella Abdrabboh said on Saturday on his Twitter account. The incident proves the Jama'a's involvement in the Syrian civil war. The Jama'a leading figure, Assem Abdel Majid formerly admitted the group had dispatched mujahedeen to fight beside Jabhat Al Nusra and the Islam Army in Syria, which the Jama'a's leadership consecutively denied.
