Egypt's police arrested Saturday a Muslim Brotherhood (MB) affiliate over running a webpage inciting violence against the military and police forces, Al Bawaba News reported. The detainee, whose initial name is Mahmud, was in charge of a FB page entitled "The Salvation Day" as well as other 19 pages which called for the establishment of armed militias to spread chaos in society, the Interior Ministry-linked Information and Documentation Department announced. The page also showed how to manufacture explosives and Molotov cocktails, police added. Mahmud, a university student based in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, was under pending detention for protesting illegally before he was released, May 2014, police sources said. The sources added he was arrested in possession of a number of machine guns, cell phones and explosives. The MB was listed as terrorist group in Sept. 2013 following a string of deadly attacks targeting police personnel and civilians, mostly in the restive Sinai Peninsula.
