Egyptian security sources said Friday a Muslim Brotherhood (MB) affiliated terrorist cell has been arrested in the Mediterranean city of Port Said, Al-Bawaba News reported. The MB cell, allegedly involved in a series of public property sabotage, is headed by a physician, currently in jail, the sources said. The five-member cell reportedly possessed Molotov cocktail, explosives and anti-police and military forces leaflets, the sources added. The detainees admitted they were planning to bomb electric converters and pylons in the province, according to police. The MB group was listed as "terrorist" in Sep. 2013 following a string of deadly attacks against police personnel and civilians, particularly in the Sinai Peninsula, after former president Mohamed Morsi was ousted amidst mass popular protests, July 2013.
