UAE's Interior Minister, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan condemned Tuesday via his account on twitter, the assassination of the public prosecutor, Hisham Barakat, Al Bawaba newspaper reported. Al Nahyan, who is also UAE's Deputy Prime Minister, said: "The hands which built the pyramids and established civilizations will eliminate the hands of treachery, which reached the good son of Egypt, the public prosecutor Hisham Barakat," asking God to have mercy on Barakat's soul. King of Jordan, Abdullah II bin Al Hussein sent his condolence to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, regarding the assassination of Barakat, who died in a car bomb attack, after targeting his convoy on Monday. Al Hussein described the terrorist attack as an "Ugly and coward act" and wished the wounded speedy recovery. He stressed Jordan's full solidarity with Egypt and its leadership in these circumstances, confirming Jordan's willingness to stand by Egypt in facing such criminal acts through firm actions. Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt, Jamal Al Shobaki sent his sincere condolences to the country's leadership and the people of Egypt, regarding the loss of one of the national symbols represented in Barakat. Al Shobaki stressed that the Palestinian people share the Egyptian people's grief on the assassination of Barakat, wishing Egypt stability, progress and prosperity. He confirmed that the massive history of Egypt and its status in the world will not allow attempts destabilizing the country to succeed.
