UAE condemned Monday in a statement the terrorist attack that killed Egypt's Prosecutor General, Hisham Barakat, Sky News channel reported. UAE's Foreign Ministry said that these terrorist crimes that aim to threaten Egypt's social peace and security will not force Egypt to stop its war against terrorism. The gulf country confirmed its support to the Egyptian efforts in order to ensure its stability and security, expressing its sincere condolences to the Egyptian leadership and to Barakat's family. The Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas sent a letter to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to express his country's condolence over the murdering of Barakat. Abbas confirmed that his country rejects these heinous acts of terrorism, pointing out that Egyptian leadership and people are able to pass this crisis. He offered his condolences to the Prosecutor General's family, wishing the injured people speedy recovery. Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah sent a letter of condolence to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi over the assassination of Hisham Barakat. Al Sabah condemned this this heinous terrorist act that targeted the lives of innocent people and Egypt's security and stability, stressing that Kuwait and the international community supports Egypt's effort in combating terrorism. Also, Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent a letter also sent to Sisi to express their condolences and sincere sympathy over the death of Barakat. The Italian Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni condemned the terrorist attack, adding that Italy supports the Egyptian governments and institutions in their fight against terrorism. Russia's Foreign Ministry condemned in a statement the terrorist attack that killed Egypt's Prosecutor General, pointing out that said that Moscow supports the Egyptian efforts to restore the country's stability. The White House condemned the assassination of Egypt's Prosecutor General, Hisham Barakat, confirming that Washington stands with the Egyptian government in its fight against terrorism. Earlier today, Egypt's Prosecutor General, Hisham Barakat was killed in a car bomb attack near his home in Cairo.
