Matrouh governorate security director, Major General Anani Hamouda announced Saturday that Salloum Border Crossing received 285 Egyptians in the past 24 hours returning from Libya including included 54 people entered the country illegally, Al Bawaba News reported. Hamouda added that 102 empty trucks were arrived from Libya to be loaded with goods from Egypt. Since February, more than 40 thousand Egyptians have returned home from Libya, after Egypt launched airstrikes on Islamic State (IS) jihadist group sites in Libya after it executed 21 Egyptian Copts.
