The Salloum border crossing, western Egypt, received 115 Egyptians during the past 24 hours, fleeing the turmoil in Libya, Al Bawaba News reported Tuesday. Head of the Matrouh Security Directorate, Gen. Al Anany Hamouda confirmed that the number of returned nationals had reached approximately 115 Egyptians, 79 of which are holders of valid visas while 36 had infiltrated Libya illegally.
The total number of Egyptian Nationals that have returned from Libya has reached 38069 since February 16, 2015, following Egyptian airstrikes on terrorists' strongholds in Libya, in retaliation for the execution of 21 Egyptians by IS militants.
