Egyptian authorities resumed Monday the evacuation of Egyptian nationals fleeing the unrest in Libya, at least 127 Egyptians returned through Salloum border crossing, including 37 who illegally crossed into Libya, according to reports. Major General, Anani Hamouda, Security Director of Matrouh, stated that the number of Egyptians returning from Libya through Salloum crossing has declined to reach normal rates. The total number of returnees since 16 February is 35749 Egyptians, following the air strikes carried out by Egypt's air force against terrorists' strongholds in Libya, in retaliation to the execution of 21 Egyptians by IS militants.
