Egyptian army kills 3 militants in Sinai

Egyptian army killed Saturday three militants in North Sinai's Sheikh Zuweid city, Youm7 news reported.
Military source said that the militants were attempting to launch an attack on a military checkpoint in Sheikh Zuweid, pointing out that the checkpoint's soldiers tracked the militants and killed three of them.
On Friday, Unidentified militants attacked a military checkpoint in Sheikh Zuweid city, leaving no casualties.
Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
