Bar Association head defense lawyers against judiciary

Chairperson of the Bar Association, Sameh Ashour has defended 22 lawyers accused of insulting judiciary before Minya Criminal Court, Al Bawaba News reported.
Lawyers are being prosecuted for staging a protest in front of Matay Court in Minya on March 12th, 2013, and chanting against judiciary.
Egyptian Lawyers have organized a general strike on Saturday, to protest police assaults and violations against lawyers in different police stations across the country.
Ashour called for the strike last week in response to the assault on lawyer Emad Fahmy in Damietta's Farskour police station, prompting anger among lawyers across the nation.
