Egypt's Prime Minister, Ibrahim Mahlab praised the bilateral relations between Egypt and Jordan, stressing that Egyptian authorities are keen to cooperate with their Jordanian counterparts on the security level to combat terrorism. Mahlab told the Jordanian state-run TV channel, that "Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi has invited Jordanian King Abdullah II to attend the opening of the new Suez Canal on August 6." He added that terrorism is the major challenge that face Egypt and Jordan, noticing that Egypt gives the priority to eliminate Sinai-based terrorist cells during the upcoming period.
