Saudi-led airstrikes against Yemen's Houthi rebels killed 40 militants, Sky News Arabia reported on Friday. The coalition's warplanes targeted cars belonging to Houthis, and checkpoints east of Aden city, deputy governor of Aden, Nayef Al Bakry stated. The coalition also raided military targets related to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh as well as Houthi leader Mohamed Haidar's house, in areas surrounding the Capital Sanaa. The Saudi-led Arab coalition launched airstrikes against Houthi positions March 26 at the request of embattled president Abdraboh Mansur Hadi, who was forced to flee the country late in March.
