President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met Saturday Mohamed Abdullah Al Saidi, the personal envoy of the Yemeni President to discuss the latest developments in the Yemeni crisis, Al Bawaba News reported. Sisi confirmed that Egypt was keen on preserving Yemen's unity, security and stability, stressing on the historical relations between the two countries. The Yemeni envoy expressed his country's appreciation of the Egyptian efforts to resolve the crisis in Yemen and restore its stability, as well as its participation in the Arab coalition against the Houthi rebels. Al Saidi said that the Houthis did not respect the U.N. Security Council resolutions and violated the humanitarian truce, which came in effect to deliver a much-needed aid to the Yemeni people. Yemen has been living under increasing chaos since the Houthi insurgents' military coup against the Yemeni government and their seizing of large swathes of the country.
