Yemen's Houthi rebels rejected Saturday former President Ali Abdallah Saleh's call to implement the U.N. resolution that stipulates their withdrawal from all seized territories in the country, Al Bawaba News reported. Houthi politburo member, Mohamed Al Bukhaiti stressed on the fact that the rebels rejected the U.N. resolution and therefore Saleh's appeal. Al Bukhaiti added that the former president's call only confirmed there were no relations between him and the Houthis, adding that Saleh's appeal only expressed his own beliefs and convictions. Yemen has been living in a state of chaos since the Houthi insurgency launched an uprising against the Yemeni government, seizing large parts of the country.
