The Iraqi army and U.S.-led international coalition killed 23 Islamic State (IS) militants in Anbar and Mosul provinces, Al Bawaba News reported Sunday. Security sources said that the Iraqi army conducted several raids on IS sites in Ramadi city at Anbar, killing 13 militants as well as destroying two terrorist outposts and six vehicles. Since 2014, Anbar has witnessed fierce clashes between Iraqi military forces and IS militants, who seized control of the province. The Sources added that the coalition launched airstrikes against IS sites in Mosul, killing 10 militants and wounding dozens. Mosul is Iraq's second largest city, currently the largest city under IS control.
