Cairo Criminal Court adjourned Saturday the retrial of the case publicly known as the "Marriot Cell" until June 1, to hear the charges against the accused Al Jazeera journalists and summon the Australian defendant, Youm7 news reported. The defendants face charges of joining a terrorist organization, the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), and jeopardizing the Egyptian National Security by spreading false news. The Court of Cassation had previously overturned 7 to 10 years prison terms for the journalists of the Qatari -owned channel and ordered a retrial last January. On December 29, 2013, the Egyptian security forces had raided the room of Peter Greste, Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed and arrested them at the Cairo Marriott hotel, where they held a temporary office.
