Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood ( MB ) jailed senior figures have reportedly signed an initiative to reconcile with the state, sources told Al Bawaba News on Wednesday. The initiative, purportedly signed by the deputy MB Supreme Guide, Khayrat Al Shater, called for releasing MB imprisoned figures, returning the outlawed group to political scene in return for abandoning the MB demand for reinstating their ousted president Mohamed Morsi and paying the blood money for the MB victims. The initiative will be submitted to the Egyptian government through European mediators, Al-Bawaba cited the wife of an MB senior figure currently fugitive overseas. According to sources, the initiative has been submitted to a number of European Union embassies to exercise pressure upon the Egyptian government to accept it. This initiative comes as a last solution for the group, which is designated as terrorist by the Egyptian judiciary, following a string of deadly blasts claiming hundreds of lives among security personnel and civilians particularly in the Sinai Peninsula.
