Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist organization rejected the 100-year old Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Empire in an attempt to support Turkey's Erdogan, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. The terrorist group fiercely slammed the Orthodox Egyptian Church and Pope Tawdrus II over the latter's visit to Armenia, claiming the Egyptian government seeks to put Erdogan under pressure, a statement on the MB-linked Freedom and Justice website read. The Egyptian church held April 24 a ceremony commemorating the Armenian genocide with a myriad of politicians and thinkers participating. A 55-member popular Egyptian delegation took part in the ceremonies held in Armenia as well. Egypt's Christian pro-MB activist, Ramy Gan denied the genocide, affirming support for Turkey. " Despite being an Armenian Catholic, I deny this fabricated massacre," he posted on Facebook.
